Recreation
It has excellent bass and trout fishing as well as boating and water skiing. Many come just to camp and enjoy the serenity of the area.
Twin Lakes is one of the most popular recreation sites in Southeast Idaho located approximately 15 miles Northwest of Preston Idaho.
Boats must be inspected for Quagga mussels, before being allowed on the lakes. This year (2025) there will be an inspection and verification station right at Twin Lakes. IF your boat has been in quagga infested water it WILL NOT be allowed at Twin Lakes.
There will be a charge of $15.00 for motorized watercraft over 10' and $5.00 for non motorized watercraft under 10'.
Boat Launching Dates: (This may change) May 16- Sept. 8, 2025
Boat launching hours are:
From May 16th-June 8th, 2025 7am to 7pm.
From June 9th -Aug. 10th, 2025 6:30 am to 9:00pm.
From Aug 11th - Sept. 8th, 2025 7am to 7pm.
NO watercraft with ballast compartments or bladders are allowed on the lakes, (even if they are sealed off).

Condie Reservoir: NO watercraft or flotation devices of any kind are allowed due to the threat of quagga mussel.
Winder Reservoir: NO watercraft or flotation devices of any kind are allowed due to the threat of quagga mussel.
Trespassers will be fined.
Camping Season: 2025 May 16th thru September 8th 2025- 56 sites available -
Reservations for the year are not being taken until March 1st, 8:00 am.
-Check in and Check out time is 12:00 Noon.

Day use $5.00 Toilets and garbage service is available.
-There is no water or electricity available.
-Reserviations must be made at least 2 weeks before your planned arrival. After that, sites will be available on a first come first serve basis.
-Reservations made last minute will be accepted with cash payment.
-Reservations cancelled 2 weeks prior to scheduled event will have their camping fee refunded but not the $10.00 reservation fee. If less than 2 weeks no money will be refunded.
